1) Quick band presentation, since when the band's up, who's playing what ? Quick discography.
Hello! we´re DISTURBANCE PROJECT, a grindcore band who is working since 2002, the line up is: Jaime-vocals, Juan-drums, Alvaro guitar and me, Gerardo-bass...We already have release some demos that are include in a split tape with PULMONARY FIBROSIS, On We Love Tapes from Brazil, and also a split 7" with the Czech fast HC band RABIES , co-released by several labels and a split cd with SUBCUT out through Vomit Noise Prod. from US...also some trax in compilations and a really good sound gig who is released like a pro-done cdr with a spanish ´zine called Peturbazom.
2) What's the band actuality ?
This weekend (the second of May 06) we´ll record new stuff for a split picture 7" with PRETTY LITTLE FLOWER and another split 7" with BRUTAL DEATH. Also we´ll take some trax from the live recording I told U before for a split 7" with PLAGUE RAGUES...As soon we´ll end the recording we start to write stuff for our first full length cd that must be out at the end of the year...so we expect play at the OEF and in our July tour some of the trax that will appear on the cd.
3) Have you ever heard of OEF ? Did you play here already ? Have you been there ?
Yes sure, man!!!!!!...I play with DENAK (my previous band) in 2003, and Alvaro was there on holyday in 2005...so we both think that is one of the best places to play grindcore...many people and many cool grind freaks.
4) What's your feeling to come and play for the (in my opinion) nowadays best & sicker fest in the world ?
I guess if U read the previous question, this one is answered...For me is fucking great to meet there tons of people that I know from tours with DENAK or just when they come to play here, in Spain.
5) What's the band main influences ? What do you usually listen to ?
Alvaro: REGURGITATE, ROTTEN SOUND, NASUM, DENAK,TERRORIZER, EXCRUCIATING TERROR...
Juan: old NAPALM DEATH, old CARCASS, TERRORRIZER..but actually he doesn´t use to listen grind.
Jaime: BRUTAL TRUTH, NASUM, ROTTEN SOUND...
Gerardo: AGATHOCLES, ROT, CARCASS GRINDER, CRIPPLE BASTARDS...6) What's the first disc you ever bought ?
Me (Gerardo) my first record was "The keeper Of the Seven Keys Part I" from HELLOWEEN in 1987
7) What's the (metal) artist that gives you a good laugh / you have mercy for - and why ?
There´s a lot of pathetic metal heroes, such as STRYPER, MANOWAR...I think everybody knows why...and they´re still giving a ridicolous image...but the best is that for a lot of people that´s serious....We have respect for all bands that keep their actittude and are not just frustrated rock-stars.8) What's the best country to play in and why ? / What's the worst country to play in and why ?
You know Czech Rep is the best country to play grindcore gigs...so I guess all the bands will answer U this question like us.Why??? Ask the grindcore freaks there. For me it´s great because a lot of people go to the gigs, and they mosh, dance pogo and fall into grindcore indeed. The worst???? Maybe Spain, people use to stay at the gigs totallly pasive, although in our last gigs here have been great...
9) What's the last political / news fact that you have something to say about ?
There´s a lot of shit that we can tell lines and lines about...but I like to tell about both of the worst shit in the wolrd in this moment: US and Iran politicians...Imperialism and fanatism...the worst!!!! Also about jobs and capitalism...this is going to slavery again, just wait...but people is happy because they still can buy a big tv, and make travels, although they are slaves for big capitalism labels.
10) In your band, who's gonna be the worst drunkard at OEF ?
Except our drummer, U can expect it from the rest, but for sure You´ll notice first from me...I get really ridiculous when I get drunk...we´ll try to drink just a little to make a good show.
11) Who's gonna phone his wife / girlfriend to say 'hi dear, I arrived well but people here are scary!' ?
We´ll try to forget our girlfriends, and look for new ones really into grindcore (ha!ha!) and when we arrive back, we´ll say: "hey, darling we forget our cellulars and there weren´t any phone box there, it´s far from civilisation".
12) Can you tell me the best joke you know for our readers ?! (a short one please ;-))
Due my shitty english, I don´t know if U understand it, but I try
Two middle aged women are speaking in the street and one say to the other:
-look there! My husband is going home with some pretty flowers in his hand.
I expect I´ll must to stay the whole night with my legs open...
