1) Quick band
presentation, since when the band's up, who's playing what ? Quick discography.
Splitter was formed
around christmas 2003 like a pretty unserious project by Fredrik, Thimmy
and Oskar. Later, we found a basist that we lost later after our first
release "Vardagsingest" when things started to rise. Niklas
joined the band as a second guitarplayer and our second bassplayer Mattias
started to play in Splitter. Even he left the band with a short story
behind. Finally, Fredrik from Uppsala in Sweden was satisfied with his
role to smash the bass into some sick tunes in Splitter, BUT, even he
left the band, cause the distance-situation to Stockholm (Where we other
lives). It was a sad end this time, because we liked him a lot and we
would say that he have been the best bassplayer ever in this band. Fredrik
put the bass on the latest release "En Sorglig Historia".
His last preformance with Splitter was in Finland. Right now we're having
a try-out for Splitter, who it will be in the end? We just have to wait
and see ...
2) What's the
band actuality ?
Just signed with
Obscene productions and released the MCD "En sorglig historia"
wich also includes out first demo "Stundens chockerande intryck".
We are doing our first tour this summer through Sweden, Denmark, Germany
and Czech republic. We just have to say that it can't get any better
then this.
3) Have you ever
heard of OEF ? Did you play here already ? Have you been there ?
Fredrik(vocals),
Thimmy(guitar) and Oskar(drums) visited OEF last year. It was a great
festival and everyone were in a good mood. No fights, no mess, just
satisfied people drinking beer, had a good time and enjoyed life! Also,
all those great bands at the same festival was fucking awesome. We loved
it.
4) What's your
feeling to come and play for the (in my opinion) nowadays best &
sicker fest in the world ?
It's amazing to
share stage with the extreme music elite. It has always been like a
wet dream to go somewhere outside sweden and show the rest of the world
some real well-made sick music that we deliver! We hope that the OEF
audience will meet us with pleasure and pain! No shit, OEF is the shit!
5) What's the
band main influences ? What do you usually listen to ?
You know, in these
days It's hard to find some really interesting shit. I would say that
the younger acts delivers some real quality music that just knocks the
listener to the ground. But I have to say, thanks to the Scandinavian
grind and crustscene and some deathmetal influence we are standing here
with 2 records released and the fire is still burning!
6) What's the
first disc you ever bought ?
Guns n Roses - Appetiete for Destruction, got it for christmas when
I was 5 years old.
7) What's the
(metal) artist that gives you a good laugh / you have mercy for - and
why ?
Burzum. What the
fuck is up with that dude? Metalhead? Nazi? Viking? HAHA! He is just
too much.
8) What's the
best country to play in and why ? / What's the worst country to play
in and why ?
We have only played
in Sweden and one gig in Finland. I have to say that Finland was better
then Sweden. Crazy drunk punks moshing like hell, beer everywhere, just
fucking awesome. Swedes are pretty lame I guess. But what we have seen
at OEF, It's no doubt that the audience will be even more fucked-up
then the last time!
9) What's the
last political / news fact that you have something to say about ?
Nothing special.
Just sick and tired of the iraqi war and all those terrorbombings. Neverending.
10) In your band,
who's gonna be the worst drunkard at OEF ?
Thimmy(Guitar),
he is one of the driver on this trip = no beer, so when we finally arrives
to OEF I think he will drink beer non-stop during the whole festival.
His is usually the one who drinks most beer in the band.
11) Who's gonna
phone his wife / girlfriend to say 'hi dear, I arrived well but people
here are scary!' ?
Thimmy(Guitar),
he is going to ask us to borrow somebodys cellphone and then have a
lame pretty little conversation with his girlfriend back in Sweden.
12) Can you tell
me the best joke you know for our readers ?! (a short one please ;-))
Im out of jokes.
Just go find "Onkel" aka "Bajsmannen" (Swede) ,
He is probably around. Thats all the humor you need, I promise you,
HAHA!
